Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Building Construction. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214. This agreement is for services related to a project that is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act ( IIJA ), Pub. L. 177-58. Absent an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United States, as further outlined by the Office of Management and Budget s Memorandum M-22-11, Initial Implementation Guidance on Application of Buy America Preference in Federal Financial Assistance Programs for Infrastructure, April 18, 2022. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212(B)(1), the provisions and requirements of this Section; and those stated in the bidding documents shall not be waived by any entity. Assumption Parish Recreation District encourages certified women and minority owned business enterprises (Manufacturers or contractors) to submit proposals. To assure that small and minority owned firms and women business enterprises are solicited as potential sources for contract opportunities, all RFPs and RFQs issued are sent to certain organizations representing their interests. A listing of the organizations may be obtained by contacting the Assumption Parish Recreation District #2. This Bid will result in the spending of federally provided grant funds and all proposers should be preregistered with a Unique Entity ID prior to submitting their proposal. As registration may take a few days to a few weeks to complete, the process of registration should commence immediately. The process to register a Unique Entity ID is free. Bids may NOT be submitted to Assumption Parish Government by any method.
