Construction bidding will take place at the end of 2025. *Previous solicitation listed below for reference* The City of Fife is soliciting statements of qualifications from professional engineering firms interested in providing engineering design services and obtaining required environmental permits for the City of Fife Citywide Intersection Illumination Improvements. This agreement will be approximately one year in duration with the option for the City of Fife to extend it for additional time and money, if necessary. Consultants may be considered for subsequent phases of work associated with this project. Mandatory Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals may be required in future phases. The Citywide Intersection Illumination Improvements project will install street lighting at the following locations: N Levee Road and E 44th Street E, N Levee Road and E 66th Avenue E, N Levee Road and E 70th Avenue E, N Levee Road and E Freeman Road E, 20th Street E and Goldau Road E, 20th Street E and Frank Albert Road E, 20th Street E and 48th Avenue Court E, 20th Street E and 51st Avenue E, and 4th Street E and 54th Avenue E. This project has a 0% DBE goal. The major features of the project are as follows: Structural design for city luminaires Community/stakeholder engagement Environmental documentation and preparation of permit applications Determination of right-of-way (ROW) needs and ROW plans. Selection of firms will be based on the following criteria: Key personnel and experience with preparing plans, specifications, and estimates for municipal projects. Demonstrated knowledge of federal funding audits and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements. Approach to the project and ability to meet schedule. Familiarity with City of Fife standards and procedures Familiarity with Local Agency Guidelines (LAG) Manual requirements Approach to meet DBE goal (DBE Participation Plan), if required Ability to perform subsequent phases of work as determined. A minimum of two copies of the statement of qualifications shall be submitted and each may be no more than 10 double sided pages in length, including cover letter and no less than 12-point font for body of text. Upon review of the submittals, selected firms will be invited for interviews. After the City and WSDOT Local Programs staff interview panel selects the most qualified firm, the City will commence contract negotiation of a proposed scope, fee and contract for the project.
