The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor necessary for the completion of the work as set forth in the Proposal and as shown in the contract drawings and specifications as prepared by Cheatham Fletcher Scott Architects. All questions for the Owner, Architect and/or Consulting Engineers shall be submitted to the Architect by 5:00 PM November 2, 2023 Questions concerning the Bidding Process should be addressed to: ggrieve@cityofaikensc.gov Contractor License: The attention of the Bidder is invited to certain legal requirements of the State of South Carolina with reference to the General Contractor License, the provisions of which must be fully met before his bid is received and considered. The General Contractor's license number must appear on the envelope containing the bid; otherwise the bid shall not be opened. If two envelopes are used, this information must appear on both envelopes. Business License: The Contractor will be required to purchase a City of Aiken Business License. This shall be required for all subcontractors as well. The Contractor shall provide a list of subcontractors to the Business License Administrator. No additional pay item will be allowed for the cost of the license. The City of Aiken reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part of any bid, to waive any informality in any bid including acknowledgement of addenda, to re-advertise for all or any part of the work, and to add additional work.
