OVERVIEW: Work performed under this scope will be for the Mechanics Bank Arena located at 1001 Truxtun Ave, Bakersfield CA. 93301. The purpose of the work is to rebuild four (4) MYCOM reciprocating compressors. The compressor rebuild includes but is not limited to the complete replacement of the internal components listed herein. The contractor shall provide and install all OEM components, labor, tools, and other equipment necessary to complete the job. In addition, it shall be the contractor's responsibility to remove and dispose of existing oil from the compressors. The contractor is responsible for ensuring that the work will be compliant with all industry codes and regulations, and that they remain compliant with all OSHA and Cal OSHA regulations during the entirety of their work. WORK DAYS AND HOURS: Perform work Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1. Be familiar with all of the job requirements. Changes or substitutions will only be accepted based on approval by the City. 2. Take all appropriate measures to ensure that the replacement components are engineered/designed and installed in compliance with applicable industry regulations. 3. Perform work during non-event days. An event schedule will be provided. 4. Provide personnel, materials, and services to accomplish the required services detailed in this scope of work. 5. Ensure that all on site personnel is adequately and visibly identified. 6. Supply and install OEM replacement components. 7. Isolate compressors and recover refrigerant (R22). 8. Supply and install new oil per manufacturer's recommendations. 9. Remove and dispose of existing oil. 10. Recommission compressors and perform operational check. 11. One (1) year minimum warranty on materials. 12. Bid prevailing wages. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. The contractor shall take all appropriate measures to ensure the health and safety of the general public and building staff. All work shall be performed in a safe manner in compliance with the requirements of Fed-OSHA and Cal-OSHA. 2. The contractor shall isolate compressors and recover refrigerant. 3. The contractor shall disconnect power and lock and tag power disconnects during the duration of the work. 4. The contractor shall provide and install OEM components listed in the scope of work. 5. The contractor shall make recommendations of work and repairs not listed on the scope of work. 6. The contractor shall pressure test and evacuate compressors after they are rebuilt. 7. The contractor shall install new oil per manufacturer's recommendations. 8. The contractor shall recharge system with R22 refrigerant if needed. 9. The contractor shall recommission compressors and perform a full functions test. 10. The contractor shall dispose of old parts and oil.
