LITTLE RIVER GLEN I APARTMENTS & SENIOR CENTER RENOVATIONS The work shall include the following: The renovation of 120 existing dwelling units, within four apartment buildings (2-story and 30 units per building) and a Senior Center. The renovation will include selective demolition, partial interior reconfigurations, new toilet rooms, selective finish upgrades, new cabinets,reroofing, replacing wood siding, windows, and patio doors, and replacing skylights (at the Senior Center). Site improvements include site drainage, ADA upgrades, repaving and restriping. The LRG I project is designed to EarthCraft Multifamily Certified green building standards and Energy Star certification requirements Bid-Period Requests for Information (Bid-RFIs): All technical and procedural questions concerning the subject project shall be electronically submitted in writing using the BidPeriod RFI Tracking Log included with this solicitation. Bid-RFIs are to be transmitted tothe Director, Building Design and Construction Division, Department of Public Works and Environmental Services, at the following e-mail address buildinq@fairfaxcountY.gov and, to be given consideration, must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids. This office is the only point where information will be disseminated. The Board of Supervisors of Fairfax County, Virginia reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and irregularities in bidding, and to accept bids which are considered to be in the best interest of the County. This is a lump sum Contract. Contract length is 492 calendar days. Bid Security must accompany each proposal in accordance with Information for Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days after the opening thereof.
