Job No: 202208, 22427.1 The project consists of roof replacement and HVAC replacement at the Old District Office Building with related electrical and structural work. The work also includes renovation of two (2) existing restrooms. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The District shall award the Contract, if it awards it at all, to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the Lowest Base Bid Amount. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to waive any irregularities, accept or reject any or all bids, and be the sole judge of merit and suitability of the workmanship and materials. Contractor Prequalification: Required (SEE RFQ documents) Last day to submit Prequalification Packet to the District is October 13, 2023 for this project Last day to submit pre-bid questions or RFI's: October 17, 2023. The estimated cost of this work is $850,000.00. This project is subject to Prequalification. The last day to submit a Prime or M/E/P prequalification package is October 24, 2023. If a bidder is not prequalified to bid on this Project, the District will not accept the bid. Any M/E/P subcontractors the bidder lists for work must have current prequalified status with the District. Prequalification documents are available electronically. License Requirements - Class B Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond, for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the base bid, made payable to the order of the Owner. Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum to insure Owner during construction, and for one year after completion and during any warranty or guaranty period, against faulty or improper materials or workmanship and to assure Owner of full and prompt performance of the Contract. Payment Bond (Labor and Material) in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum in accordance with the laws of the State of California to secure payment of any and all claims for labor and materials used or consumed in performance of this Contract.
