BL140-23, M-1183-08 The project involves installation of a new check valve in the existing 36-inch diameter ductile iron pipe Lower Big Haynes Creek force main at the Brooks Road Pump Station site. The work consists of site clearing, locating and excavating the existing force main, cutting a portion of piping out, installing the new check valve and piping, installing a new concrete vault, backfilling and compaction, finish grading, erosion control and site stabilization, site restoration, and all related appurtenances for a complete and functioning system. Furnish new check valve, plug valve, and fittings required for installation in the existing force main. 3. Construct new cast-in-place concrete vault over the existing force main. Support the force main throughout construction. 4. Coordinate with Owner for shutdown and draining of the existing force main to allow cut-in to be made. 5. Cut existing force main and install new check valve, plug valve, pipe, and couplings. 6. Install top on new vault. 7. Coordinate with Owner to repressurize the force main and check for leaks. 8. Backfill and compact around force main and vault. 9. Restore disturbed areas. 10. Address warranty issues related materials and installation. C. Related Requirements 1.
