Obstruction Mitigation Plans - Contract 5 - Bowman Field. Question Deadline 10/19/2023. This project consists of removal and trimming of tree obstructions within the Runway 6, 15, 24 and 33 approaches to Bowman Field Airport. Work shall consist of removal or trimming of trees of varying diameter, disposal of all tree debris off site, site restoration, maintenance of traffic and incidental work, planting of replacement trees, and landscaping on residential properties. Each sealed Bid shall be accompanied by an irrevocable Bank Letter of Credit, or satisfactory Bid Bond (see Attachment #8) with good corporate surety, in a sum not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate amount of the Bid, payable without condition to the Louisville Regional Airport Authority, to guarantee that if the Bidder's offer results in an Award, the Bidder will furnish all required bonds, insurance certificate(s) and insurance policy(ies) within ten (10) Calendar Days after the Notice of Award is given, and enter into the Contract within thirty (30) Calendar Days after the Notice of Award is given. The Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in any Bid or Bid Guaranty, to reject any and all Bids and to negotiate with any Bidder to such extent as may be necessary.
