Renovation of a fire / police facility in Accord, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
A. The following shall be a part of all Divisions and Sections of the Work and shall be as binding as if written at the head of each Division or Section: The Contractor shall provide all items, articles, materials, operations, tools, equipment, labor, and incidentals necessary and required to complete in an acceptable manner all work under the above Heading, as indicated, implied, mentioned, shown, or scheduled on the Drawings, and/or specified herein, or both. All parts of the "Instructions to Bidders", "General Conditions", "Supplemental General Conditions", and "Division 01 - General Requirements" shall be made a part of this Heading and shall be as binding as if herein written. Materials normally delivered labeled shall be received with manufacturer's original label and instructions, or else shall be subject to rejection. Materials shall be stored under adequately clean and dry conditions, and all work shall be performed according to the best practice of the trades. Manufacturer's specifications and instructions for products specified herein, or approved equals, become part of these specifications and all such instructions are to be followed accordingly. A. Without force and effect on the requirements of the Contract Documents, the description of the Work under this Contract can be summarized as follows: The project generally consists of the following: construct new wood framed flooring (floor joists and floor sheathing) to improve the existing upstairs space for future rehabilitation. The scope of work also includes demolition of existing equipment closet space and using that space to furnish and install new steel staircase with all the associated accessories and restoring the space to a finished condition. The proposed work also includes furnishing and installing new exterior fire escape staircase over new concrete slab. Contractor is responsible for all the shop drawings needed to review and fabricated the proposed new staircases. The project is located at 22 Main Street, Accord, New York 12404 in the Town of Rochester, Ulster County, New York. The Accord Fire District reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informalities for any Bid, and to accept any Bid which is in the best interest of the Accord Fire District.
