Bids are to include all shipping costs to the point of delivery located at: VARIOUS LOCATIONS, Fayette County, KY Question Deadline 10/18/2023 at 4:00 PM ET The Lexington Fayette Urban County Government (LFUCG) is accepting bids from Contractors to provide clearing and grubbing services at select LFUCG Sanitary and Storm Sewer Locations. LFUCG provides wastewater collection and conveyance services to the general LFUCG Urban Services Area (USA), as well as limited areas outside the USA. LFUCG has established operational procedures for sanitary and storm sewer maintenance, monitoring, containment, filtration, and clean up. Multiple sanitary and storm sewer assets have been identified, including twenty nine (29) manhole locations require clearing and grubbing of trees, brush, weeds, bushes, roots, and debris such that monitoring, containment, filtration, and clean up operations can occur. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED UNDER THIS CONTRACT: A. The purpose of this section is to define the clearing and grubbing operations required at select Sanitary and Storm Sewer Locations in LFUCG's wastewater collection system. B. The Contractor shall be required to furnish all materials, labor, and equipment for clearing and grubbing at locations within the sanitary and storm sewer collection system; and properly dispose of the debris removed from the area. The operation, in its entirety, shall be the sole responsibility of the Contractor. C. These Contract Documents are intended to provide the basis for proper completion of clearing and grubbing services for the Owner. Anything not expressly set forth but which is reasonably implied or necessary for proper performance of these services shall be included. D. LFUCG will be represented by a representative of the Division of Water Quality (DWQ). The Project Engineering Coordinator, said representative, shall be authorized to initiate, terminate, and/or oversee services under this Contract. E. General description of services to be performed: removal of trees, brush, weeds, bushes, roots, and debris around select locations and to access select locations including manhole locations in the LFUCG sanitary and storm sewer system. F. Maps of all manhole sites that require clearing and grubbing are provided in Appendix A. The maps display the areas where clearing and grubbing is required and a brief description of the work to be performed for each site. Additional locations may be included as needs arise. G. LFUCG shall perform inspections of the clearing and grubbing services to ensure it is being performed properly. In the event that proper clearing and grubbing is not being performed according to standards set forth in these Contract Documents, the Contractor will adjust their procedures at no additional cost to LFUCG to conform to these Contract Documents.
