Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Topeka, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Shawnee County Parks + Recreation (SCP+R) is requesting proposals from vendors to stabilize shoreline at Horseshoe Bend Park by performing minimal dredging, sloping of bank, placement of 18-24" rock (rip rap), backfill or top coat disturbed areas with topsoil, and reconstruction of walk connections if broken or cracked. Vendor shall warranty all work and meet or exceed safety standards and environmental requirements. Horseshoe Bend Park is a 5.8-acre park with a small 1.75-acre pond situated on the east side of the park. Due to the slope of the surrounding parkland, much of the 1300 linear feet of shoreline has degraded and is in need of replacement in order to stay safe and prevent further erosion. A walkway is installed around the pond and may require repair or replacement following the bank stabilization. Any necessary walk repairs will be part of this project as needed.
