Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Sanborn, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Separate Bids will be received for each of the following: Sitework Contract BP-01 General Trades Contract BP-02 The work will take place at Niagara Wheatfield CSD: Edward Town Middle School: 2292 Saunders Settlement Road, Sanborn, New York 14132 The Owner requires that all bids shall comply with the bidding requirements specified in the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. The Owner may, at its discretion, waive informalities in bids, but is not obligated to do so, nor does it represent that it will do so. The Owner also reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Under no circumstances will the Owner waive any informality that, by such waiver, would give one Bidder a substantial advantage or benefit not enjoyed by all Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid before forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof, unless a mistake to error is claimed by the Bidder in accordance with INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS. Bidders are required to furnish a Proposal Guaranty of 10 percent of the amount of the Proposal, either by bank cashierís check, payable to the owner, or Bid Bond, conforming to law, and satisfactory to Owner. Performance, Labor and Material Payment Bonds are required The Scope of the General Trades Contract includes, but is not limited to, providing the following: GENERAL: a) Contractor to tour and survey the site to assess existing conditions prior to submitting their proposal. Any conflict in drawings or omissions shall be brought to the A/E and CM's attention immediately. All visits shall be scheduled 48 hours in advance with the CM. b) Include all documents/printing cost and related costs to execute your work. c) This contractor is cautioned that additional scope of work to be provided under this contract is detailed in the Special Provisions and Logistics Plans. d) All tracked debris must be cleaned up continuously and at the end of each work shift. e) Coordinate rough in with other Prime Contractors. f) Field measuring is required. Where field measuring is not possible due to meeting schedule or product interface, NOTIFY CM IMMEDIATELY. Field fabrication shall be included at no additional cost to the contract. In the event the items are not field measured and materials are delivered to the site and a conflict occurs, the cost of the remedy will be the responsibility of this contract. g) Provide all temporary weather protection for any portion of the work of this contract. BUILDINGS MUST BE KEPT DRY AT ALL TIMES! Any damages to the existing building due to water infiltration and/or other environmental issues due to improper weather protection and/or leaking will be the financial responsibility of this contractor. h) Protection of "others" in-place work, while performing the work of this contract. i) The General Trades Contractor BP-02 shall provide project field office contents and services for principal use by the CM as shown below. Unless otherwise noted below, the Project Field Office services and contents must be completely set up no later than 12/22/23. The associated contents within the Field Office will remain the property of the Contractor throughout the duration of the project and shall be insured by the Contractor throughout the duration of the project for all perils and risks. At the end of the project all contents will be turned over to the District except items indicated to be leased. The CM's Trailer is located at 2292 Saunders Settlement Rd, Sanborn NY. - 1-year maintenance of CM Office Printer, period 11/01/23 - 11/01/24. Coordinate with Steven T. Smith, Eagle Systems 716-893-0506. j) This Contract is responsible to maintain a clean workspace, and clean-up work area following each work day to maintain a safe and clean site. k) Provide the Final Building interior cleaning by a qualified cleaning subcontractor. At a minimum final cleaning shall consist of removing dirt and dust from all surfaces including mechanicals (piping, ductwork, and conduit), wiping down and cleaning all finished surfaces, wet mop and vacuum of all floors. l) This contract owns disposal of all garbage and replaced hardware, as needed. m) Provide all hoisting, lifts, equipment for access to the work and material handling in accordance with all safety requirements of the project for all work in this contractor's scope of work. n) All materials and equipment shall be delivered to the site on the sequence required, and in such quantities as can be promptly installed as the work progresses. Shipments shall not be made in such a manner as to overburden the available storage space at the site. Long time storage of materials, supplies, and equipment shall not be permitted without the CM's written approval. o) This Contractor recognizes that complex submittal items will arise that will require multiple shop drawing revisions. This contractor acknowledges these revisions are expected and will be included as part of this initial scope of work. p) All remedial work caused by deficient test results, incorrect layout/elevations, out of tolerance, fabrication, etc., is the responsibility of the installing contractor, including additional costs of other contractors to revise or rework previously installed work. q) Any work installation must be completed at the end of each shift for proper function by school staff the day following. No incomplete hardware installations are permitted following a shift. Any additional shift work to complete an area for next-day use will be performed at no cost to the project.
