Description of work: The work consists of the replacement of the HVAC systems in the Field Operations building on the KUB Hoskins Campus. This work includes the demolition of the existing HVAC systems as well as the ceiling to allow for the installation of the new systems. New 4-pipe air handling units with Variable Air Volume (VAV) reheat and new controls will be installed. In conjunction with the HVAC system replacement, new lighting to be installed throughout the renovation area. CONTRACTOR will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals as required to perform the Work. Contractor shall provide any traffic control devices as may be required. The CONTRACTOR shall supply all other incidental items necessary to complete the Work. Notice to Proceed on or before November 27, 2023 Required Substantial Completion: 180 days following the Commence Date stated in Notice to Proceed, based on the proposed detailed schedule included in Bidders submitted Section 00335 Qualification Requirements, once approved by KUB. All Bids must be made out on the bid form provided with the Bidding Documents. Each bidder must turn in a security deposit with its Bid. The deposit is five percent (5%) of the Bid amount, subject to the conditions stated in the Instructions to Bidders. A performance Bond and a payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, will be required for the faithful performance of the Agreement. To the extent required by state law, the OWNER shall have the right to require additional payment and performance Bonds.
