Hawkeye Community College (the "College") intends to enter a guaranteed maximum price contract for construction of the following planned improvements project: Butler Hall Addition and Renovation. The project is anticipated to commence in December, 2023. Substantial completion of the project is anticipated to be August, 2026 OR is to be determined and will be dependent on project progression. The CMaR will be engaged using a two-step solicitation process. A CMaR with sufficient qualifications based on the following selection criteria will be offered the opportunity to submit a proposal to serve as CMaR for the listed projects: 1. The Butler Hall Addition & Renovation project will provide for the expansion and remodeling of existing space for use as an educationalandtrainingfacility for careerandtechnicalprograms suchaswelding,CNC machining, autotech, dieselmechanics,etc.The facility is located on the northwest corner of the main campus circle of buildings of Hawkeye Community College at 1501 East Orange Road, Waterloo, Iowa 50701. This project scope will include: a full renovation of a 79,000 gross square foot facility housing the programs of welding, CNC machining, auto tech, diesel mechanics, etc. along with support spaces for faculty, staff and students. Project will also include an addition to provide space to support proposed programs. Project scope will include site development including demolition of existing parking lots and staging areas as well as possible relocation of utilities. Site work may coincide with surrounding site projects that will be under construction during a portion of the Butler project. Scope will also include updated building systems and services to support the planned programs to be housed in the facility.
