Replacement of curbs, sidewalk, and other incidental construction in the public right of way related to the City's 50/50 Sidewalk Program. The Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and the Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) (together the M/WBE) participation goal for this Letting is 24% MBE participation distributed as follows: 21% African American, 2% Hispanic American, 0.5% Asian American, and 0.5% Native American plus 11% WBE participation. M/WBE participation level is based on the base bid and any alternates accepted. On contracts with an estimated cost of $300,000 or less, a 5% bid discount will be applied to M/WBE Bidders during the evaluation process; the actual contract amount shall not be lowered. Each bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's or Treasurer's Check of a Bank or Trust Company in the City of Saint Louis, payable to the Order of the City Treasurer, or a Surety Bond approved by the Comptroller, for the amount of Deposit required, as heretofore stated.
