The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), Disease Control and Public Health Response Division (DCPHR) are responsible for making sure that the state of Colorado is prepared to respond rapidly and effectively to public health concerns and emergencies. The division is made up of three units: disease control, laboratory services, and emergency preparedness and response. The Laboratory Services Division (LSD) oversees the state laboratory which conducts research and testing to protect and improve the lives of its citizens. A public address system improves communication, productivity, safety, and customer experience while offering a cost-effective and adaptable solution for businesses. It can broadcast messages to specific zones or throughout the entire facility, ensuring quick and effective communication in emergency situations. The lab was able to purchase some of the equipment required for the PA system upgrade during the previous fiscal year. See Exhibit C.
