A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified consultant to provide engineering services for replacement of a 20-inch cast iron water transmission main and a 14-inch cast iron water transmission main. Services will include design and possible construction administration and inspection services. The estimated construction cost is $11.7 million. SECTION II - SCOPE OF WORK The scope of work may include but not be limited to the following: o Review as-builts and provide recommendations for the alignment of the 20-inch water transmission main and the new parallel water distribution main. o Develop construction documents for 4,000 linear feet of transmission main along 9th Avenue between Roosevelt and Washington Streets and 1,650 feet of water distribution main along 9th Avenue between Roosevelt and Taylor Streets. o Develop construction documents for 1,600 linear feet of water transmission main along 44th Street between Van Buren Street and McKinley Street. o Develop construction documents for other areas requiring replacement of cast iron transmission mains as identified in the design phase. o Conduct geotechnical evaluation as necessary to develop construction requirements. o Provide survey services as required to support the field investigation and design at each location. o Identify all utility locations both vertically and horizontally along the pipeline routes. Coordinate with the City's potholing contractor as necessary to establish utility locations. o Prepare opinion of probable cost for construction. o Obtain all applicable permits. o Assist with the development of detailed shutdown plans (MOPOs). o Provide data reflecting changes to the asset registry in the City's computer maintenance management system (CMMS) and GIS. o Assist with development of scope documents for Job Order Contract support agreements. Use of UNIFIER, an Application Service Provider (ASP) web-based project management database, may be required. The following information provides a guideline for utilization. Any questions related to the requirements of UNIFIER should be directed to the Project Manager. o The Consultant will be required to maintain all project records in electronic format. o The City provides an ASP web-based project management database which the Consultant will be required to utilize in the fulfillment of the contract requirements. o The Consultant shall provide a computerized networked office platform with broadband internet connectivity. o UNIFIER training will be provided through the City of Phoenix to firms under contract. Additional Pre Bid Meeting Note: At this meeting, City staff will discuss the scope of work, general project requirements, and respond to questions from the attendees. It is strongly recommended that interested firms attend the pre-submittal meeting.
