The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is for Washington County to provide safe, secure and reliable egress for locations that include gate systems. This Request for Proposal has been prepared by Washington County to provide gate services throughout Washington County Washington County Building Services Division is responsible for the maintenance and continuing operation for all exterior gate systems throughout the County. It is the intent of Washington County to provide safe, secure, and reliable egress for locations that include gate systems. The successful Contractor will have the abilities to perform all the functions below. Contractors who cannot provide the full range of requested services may submit a proposal but must clearly note any services listed in this request which would not be provided. Contractors are also encouraged to highlight any services for which they possess particularly notable qualifications. Contractor will provide resources, labor, and equipment for on call, and emergency after hours as needed gate services at various Washington County locations. Contractor will be able to perform new installations for future sites or replacement of current gates as needed. Contractor will provide Preventative maintenance schedules for each gate and provide an example maintenance checklist. Services provided under this Contract will be conducted in a manner consistent with that level of care and skill ordinarily exercised by members of the Contractor's occupation performing services under similar conditions. Washington County has multiple locations with swing and sliding security gates. Current gates include some with keypads, card security and remote openers. Some gates operate in addition to loop detectors. Washington County is looking for a comprehensive service provider to maintain, repair and/or replace, our current and future gates up to five years or $175,000.00 which ever comes first. Please note that no other Washington County personnel are allowed to discuss this RFP with anyone, including respondents, before the proposal submission deadline. This RFP does not obligate the County to award a contract or complete the project. The County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. The County reserves the right to waive any minor irregularities in the proposal request process. The County reserves the right to interview any, all, or none of the respondents at its discretion. The County shall not be liable for any expenses incurred by the implementing agency including but not limited to expenses associated with the preparation of the proposal.
