Any special condition or specific site related issues that may result in an additional expenditure must be identified in writing to the City Engineer and agreed upon prior to the commencement of any such activity. Est. Completion Date: April 26, 2024 Replacement of an existing conflict manhole between a Lakewood storm sewer and a Crystal Lake sanitary sewer. Work includes manhole replacement, adjacent pipe replacement, and other ancillary restoration. Bid - The City of Crystal Lake (hereinafter referred to as "City") a municipal corporation of the State of Illinois, located in McHenry County, is seeking bids for Construction of replacement of a conflict manhole located in Lakewood, IL. The City would enter into a contract with a qualified and responsible firm for such services, and accordingly is furnishing herein a set of specifications by which such proposals shall be judged. Any firm (hereinafter "Contractor") desiring to furnish a bid for such services shall submit a sealed bid according to the instructions and format of the attached bid documents. Municipal Overview- The City is located approximately 45 miles northwest of Chicago and currently has a population of 43,000 (2017 Estimate). Completion Date - All work shall be completed by April 26th, 2024, plus 10 working days for punchlist. Any extension of time must be granted by the City. Failure to complete work on time without an approved extension will result in Liquidated Damages per Illinois Standard 108.09. Liquidated Damages shall be charged on a Calendar Day basis. Program Selection -The City reserves the right to require the awarded Contractor to implement any services outlined below. The Contractor shall propose to furnish complete equipment, labor, materials and supplies to accomplish all work necessary to complete such contract as may be agreed upon by the City of Crystal Lake and the Contractor.
