Site work and paving for a civil project in Boothbay, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. The work includes: installation of sewer force main and storm drain pipe, sewer force main manhole structures, street construction, earthwork, pedestrian and vehicular traffic control, and other associated Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Work also includes trenching and backfill and street construction associated with water main installation. The water main pipe will be installed by the Boothbay Region Water District. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. All questions are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions may be transmitted by e-mail to ctaylor@sebagotechnics.com . Questions received less than 5 (five) working days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered The Project is located along portions of Butler Road and Country Club Road in Boothbay. The work area also includes extending utilities onto a portion of an undeveloped lot shown as Lot 35 on the Town of Boothbay Tax Map R-7. Outline of Work The work includes: installation of sewer force main and storm drain pipe, sewer force main manhole structures, trench pavement repair, earthwork, and associated work as shown on contract drawings and documents. Work also includes trenching and backfill and road pavement repair associated with water main installation. The water main pipe will be installed by the Boothbay Region Water District. The work includes, but is not limited to: 1. The installation of approximately 5,730 linear feet (If) of new pressure sewer force main, installation of precast manholes, installation of residential services, and associated construction. 2. Trenching and backfilling for water main extension (approximately 1,175 linear feet) and associated construction. Installation of water main pipe and associated infrastructure to be performed by the Boothbay Region Water District. 3. Road repair including the removal of bituminous pavement, trench paving, street and driveway reconstruction, loam and seeding. 4. Construction of approximately 450 linear feet of gravel road construction on private property. 5. Other related and incidental work including: support of existing underground utilities during excavations, traffic control, and erosion controls. Basis of Award Contract shall be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid, complying with conditions and requirements provided in this Notice and bid form, is the lowest total base bid as identified on the bid form. Other Information Bidders shall make note of the schedule requirements presented in the contract documents. Construction of the project is intended to begin in November 2023 with Substantial completion, including finish pavement by May 17, 2024 and completion of the work in its entirety by June 14, 2024. All questions are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions may be transmitted by e-mail to ctaylor@sebagotechnics.com . Questions received less than 5 (five) working days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. A bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to the Town of Boothbay (Owner) in an amount of 5% of Bidder's maximum bid price and in the form of a certified check or Bid bond issued by surety meeting the requirements of the General Conditions. No bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after receipt of bids unless released by Owner. A completed Bid Form, Bid Security, Experience and Qualifications Statement with verification of bonding capacity, and other attachments identified in the instructions must be submitted with the Bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond, and Insurance Policy. The successful bidder shall be responsible for the full amount of the 100% Performance Bond and the 100% Payment Bonds. Combining bonds of subcontractors is not acceptable. Document notes: Plans and specification will be available on October 17, 2023 after 10:00 a.m. Partial sets will not be distributed. All requests for mailed documents must be accompanied by an additional non-refundable fee of $25.00 to cover postage and handling. Checks should be made payable to Town of Boothbay. Credit cards will not be accepted. Electronic (PDF) copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained after purchase of a printed copy by contacting Christopher Taylor at ctaylor@ sebagotechnics.com or 207-200-2092. To be considered a responsive Bidder, the Contractor must have obtained at least one printed copy of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. The Bid will not be awarded to a Bidder unless a record for obtaining documents from the Issuing Office exists
