Contract will be a general contract for the construction of the Collin County Outer Loop Segment 3C Access Road (ultimate westbound frontage road), from Custer Road (FM 2478) to US 75 The construction of the nine-mile, two-lane access road on new location consists of grading, drainage, 2 bridge structures, signing, pavement markings, concrete pavement for the access road, and asphalt pavement for the cross streets. Payment for the contract work shall be made pursuant to the terms of the Contract Documents Bidders shall use lump sum pricing. Contractor must furnish a performance, payment and maintenance bond within ten (10) consecutive calendar days following award of contract. The original Bid Bond shall be received in the Collin County Purchasing Department no later than close of business on the third working day after the bid opening. Late receipt of or failure to submit original Bid Bond shall be cause for rejection of bid. All Bidders must submit, prior to the bid opening time, a Certified Check, Cashiers Check or acceptable Bid Bond payable without recourse to Collin County in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid plus alternates as submitted.
