The bid opening is public and will be conducted at the Support Services Building, 11348 Greensboro Road, Denton, MD 21629 If CCPS, and/or its district buildings, are closed due to unforeseen circumstances on the day bids are due, bids will be due at the same time on the next day that the CCPS and/or its district buildings are open. This bid shall be for the snow removal from a 2 - 6 inch, a 6+ inch, and a 12+ inch snow storm. This bid shall include snow removal from all parking lots, bus loops, sidewalks, and building exit door sidewalks at Caroline County Public School (CCPS) locations as listed below. All use of salt shall be included in this bid as an add/alternative. All use of salt on concrete surfaces shall be concrete-safe. Awarded bidder must be able to clear all snow within 24 hours after the last snow falls. Awarded bidder must demonstrate at least 3 years of snow-removal experience with an account equal-to or larger-than CCPS properties. Please breakout the cost for salting the parking lots and the bus loops for each school. This will be on-request only. Minority & small business enterprises are encouraged to respond to this RFB. The Board of Education of Caroline County, also referred to as Caroline County Public Schools or CCPS, is soliciting competitive sealed bids for Snow Removal Services at 15 locations as more fully described herein. The contract will be a firm, fixed price contract. A site visit/pre-bid conference will not be held. However, Bidders are responsible for understanding this solicitation. To that end, Bidders may visit and inspect the locations requiring services to acquaint themselves with existing conditions and site layout. All questions shall be submitted in writing via email to kilmon.anita@ccpsstaff.org and received by close of business on Monday, October 22, 2023. The RFB number and title shall be identified in the subject line. CCPS, based on the availability of time to research and communicate an answer, shall decide whether an answer can be given before the Bid due date. Answers to all questions that are not clearly specific only to the requestor will be posted on the CCPS Purchasing website. CCPS will not accept any electronic submissions to the CCPS Director of Operations or CCPS employees. It is the Bidder's responsibility to verify that the Bid has been received at bids@ccpsstaff.org prior to the Bid Opening. 'Read Receipts' are not sufficient. Mailed or delivered bid packages shall be clearly labeled with the bidder's name and address, the bid number and title, and bid due date and time, and shall include 1 original copy of all bid documents. CCPS is not responsible for a bid that may be inadvertently opened before the bid due date unless it is submitted with proper labeling.
