Reference Number 0000257941 Construction Management for Services and Construction for ONTCs Paint Shop Upgrade Projects. Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (herein referred to as ONTC) intends to retain a qualified firm to provide Construction Management services for the Construction of Paint Shop Upgrades at ONTCs North Bay Paint Shop. Construction Management services will include two phases, a pre-construction phase (Phase 1) and a construction phase (Phase 2). The pre- construction phase will take place independently for up to three separate projects. At the end of Phase 1, the Respondent shall prepare and submit a lump sum price proposal for the build of each project to ONTC for its approval. Phase 1 will be ongoing until approval is provided by ONTC for each project to proceed to Phase 2. This construction management approach must minimize costs to the owner, ONTC, associated with risk that a contractor carries in a lump sum price and eliminate multi-level mark-ups as well as risk associated with deliveries that are no longer dependable. The projects are at various points of engineering design. 1.Project 1: Blast Bay Upgrade; Target construction completion before March 15, 2025. 2.Project 2: Paint Bay Jack Pads; Target construction completion before March 31, 2024. 3.Project 3: Replace Smalls Paint Booth; Target construction completion before March 31, 2024. All projects will require a detailed, fast-tracked construction schedule and diligent on the ground coordination with ONTC Paint Shop supervision. The Place of the Work is located at 915/916 McIntyre St E, North Bay, ON P1B 1G2. The North Bay Paint Shop is a facility that is part of the North Bay Shop Complex. The building is generally a single-story paint shop that has elevated paint and blast bays. The Paint Shop was constructed in 1974 and is approximately 823 Sq. M. (8,868 Sq. Ft.) and the building was expanded in 2004 and the Paint Shop Expansion is 958 Sq. M. (10,314 Sq. Ft.)
