Per FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Bid opening will be held in Conference Room D at the Forest Service Office located at 420 Barrett Street in Dillon, MT. Electronic bid submission must be received by 5:00 PM the day before bid due date/opening. Period of Performance: 03/01/2024 to 10/01/2025 (a) Description of Work. This project will include the replacement of the water distribution system, wastewater system, and irrigation system at the Savenac Historic Tree Nursery. In general, the work under this Contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major items: 1. Replacement of the water distribution system. The project includes new water mains, and all associated valves, fittings, hydrants, service lines to buildings, a new water supply well and a new well house. 2. Replacement of the wastewater system. The project includes new sewer collection mains, manholes and service connections. The project also includes a new wastewater treatment system consisting of new septic and dosing tanks, a new force main and a new pressure dosed drain field. Abandonment of the existing septic tank and lift station is also part of the project. 3. Replacement of the irrigation system (Option Item). Installation of a new underground automatic sprinkler irrigation system. NOTE: Contractor will be responsible for obtaining all permits necessary to complete this project. (b) Project Location. The project is located on the Superior Ranger District, Lolo National Forest at the Historic Savenac Nursery in Haugen, Montana. (c) Price Range. Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. (d) Site Visit.
