The City of Leavenworth, Kansas, Housing Authority, is accepting bids for a chiller replacement. Obtain all necessary Permits required for Project and all additional documentation required for process. Contractor shall read GPM flows and pressure drops of existing chilled water system and existing chilled water system pumps (2-total) for use in rebalancing. IfContractor fails to obtain all flows and pressure drops prior to removal and reinstallation of new system work, Contractor will be responsible for any costs associated with rebalance of entire buildings system. Drain chilled water system to prepare for chilled water equipment removal and installation of chilled water isolation valves. Drain hot water system to replace isolation valves. Remove existing air-cooled condenser / indoor barrel and associated electrical disconnect wiring and conduit if not reused. Remove all refrigerant piping between air-cooled condenser and DX chiller barrel. Retain existing pipe supports and shielding for use. Remove chilled water barrel and all associated chilled water valves, temperature gauges, pressure gauges, and piping as noted. See site photos for more details Remove two (2) existing chilled water pumps and all associated strainers, valves, temperature gauges, and pressure gauges back to header for both chilled water pumps. See site photos for more details. Remove chilled and hot water isolation valves at each riser location on the 1st floor. (Total of 26). Replacement of hot or chilled water valves in risers will be restricted to the off season for each system. Remove all existing temperature controls for the existing chilled water system. Provide new portion of concrete slab for air cooled chillers. Provide two (2) ground mounted Daikin 150-ton air cooled chiller(s) and associated plate and frame heat exchangers. Provide new refrigerant piping from air cooled chillers to plate and frame heat exchangers. Reuse or reconfigure existing metal shielding to accommodate new piping arrangement. . Provide two (2) plate and frame heat exchangers and two (2) chilled water pumps. Provide new strainers, pressure gauges, and valves for each pump and valves, pressure gauges, and temperature gauges for each heat exchanger. Replace chilled and hot water isolation valves at each riser location on the first floor. (Total of 26) Match existing size. Valves shall be replaced at appropriate time as associated system is offline for season Provide new unit mounted electrical disconnect for each air-cooled condenser and electrical wiring from existing electrical distribution panel in Mechanical Room to new unit to accommodate new electrical requirements. Securely fasten disconnect to unit. Provide additional electrical connection ifrequired to accommodate new equipment or controls. Provide all wiring and conduit for installation of any and all control wiring between indoor/outdoor equipment and controls for operation of system per sequence of operation. Interface new chiller controls with existing control system per sequence of operation. Contractor shall label new and existing units to match designation on electrical panel board in mechanical room in the building. Provide insulation and jacketing on any existing pipes disturbed or new chilled supply/return piping to match existing. Provide pipe labeling on new piping. Provide startup of new unit and calibrate all operating and safety controls. Provide water balancing. The project entails the installation of two (2) new ground mounted Daikin air cooled chillers, two (2) new chilled water pumps, and two (2) new chilled water evaporators with piping, wiring, controls on new equipment pad as well as new isolation valves at each chilled water riser on the 1st floor
