Bids submitted to the District in response to this Notice Calling for Bids (this "Notice") must be submitted in a sealed envelope which is plainly marked with the bidder's name and California State Contractor's License Number, the Project name and number set forth above. All bids must be submitted on the bid form attached hereto ("Bid Form") and must otherwise comply with the requirements set forth in the document entitled "Information for Bidders" attached hereto. Each bid shall be accompanied in the same sealed envelope with the following: (1) bid security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price in the form of either cash, a certified or cashier's check payable to the District, or a "Bid Bond" in the form attached hereto; (2) a completed "Non-collusion Affidavit"; (3) "Designation of Subcontractors" all of which must be on the forms attached hereto The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing at the time of the Bid Opening and throughout the term of the Agreement. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process Any questions regarding bid documents should be reduced to writing and e-mailed to facilities@ggusd.us no later than November 3, 2023 at 10:00AM. Answers to these questions will be posted online as an addendum at www.ggusd.us on or before November 7, 2023 at 5:00PM. The Work may consist of the following: 1.2.1. Selective demolition and construction necessary for the Fencing Project, including associated civil and architectural work as indicated in the Drawings and Specifications. Generally, these categories of work involve new finishes, instructional areas. The Fencing Project consists of four (4) school site, contractor to field verify all measurements: A- Excelsior Elementary School B- Violette Elementary School C- Bell Intermediate School D- Bolsa Grande High School 1.2.2. A- Excelsior Elementary School 1) Provide and install approximately 530 linear feet of 6 foot high Ameristar Montage II Genesis 2 Rail Ornamental Iron fencing, Including the fencing around the gas meter. 2) Provide and install 3 each 5 foot wide by 6 foot Ameristar Single panic gate. Reuse existing hardware. Modify as needed. 1) Provide and install 1 each 5 foot wide clear by 6 foot high Ameristar utility gate with fork latch that is lockable. . 3) Provide and install 1 each approximately 10 foot wide by 6 foot Ameristar Double panic gate. Reuse existing hardware. Modify as needed . 4) Provide and install 1 each approximately 16 foot wide by 6 foot high black vinyl chain link double drive in gates with locking hardware. 5) Provide and install approximately 100 linear feet of 12 ich by 6 inch concrete mow curb with rebar. 1.2.3. B-Violette Elementary School: 1) Provide and install approximately 750 linear feet of 6 foot high Ameristar Montage II Genesis 2 Rail Ornamental Iron fencing. 2) Provide and install 1 each 5 foot wide by 6 foot Ameristar Single panic gate. Reuse existing hardware. Modify as needed. 3) Provide and install 4 each approximately 16 foot wide by 6 foot high black vinyl chain link double drive in gates with locking hardware. Gates are slide gates. 4) Provide and install approximately 750 linear feet of 12 ich by 6 inch concrete mow curb with rebar. 1.2.4. C-Bell Elementary School 1) Provide and install approximately 800 linear feet of 6 foot high Ameristar Montage II Genesis 2 Rail Ornamental Iron fencing. 2) Provide and install 1 each 5 foot wide clear by 6 foot high Ameristar utility gate with fork latch that is lockable. . 3) Provide and install 1 each approximately 10 foot wide by 6 foot Ameristar Double panic gate with hardware. Reuse and add to existing hardware. Modify as needed 4) Provide and install 4 each approximately 5 foot wide by 6 foot Ameristar Double panic gate with hardware. Reuse and add to existing hardware. D-Bolsa Grande High School 1) Provide and install approximately 125 linear feet of 6 foot high Ameristar Montage II Genesis 2 Rail Ornamental Iron fencing. 2) Provide and install 4 each approximately 5 foot wide by 6 foot Ameristar Double panic gate with hardware. Reuse and add to existing hardware. Modify as needed 3) Provide and install 1 each approximately 16 foot wide by 6 foot high vinyl chain link double gate with locking hardware 4) Provide and install approximately 100 linear feet of 12 ich by 6 inch concrete mow curb with rebar 1.2.6. PROVDE AND INSTALL HURRICANE MANUFACTURING COMPANY PRIVACY SLATS INSTALLED BETWEEN THE TOP AND BOTTOM RAILS AT THE KINDER AREAS ONLY. THE SLAT COLOR SHALL BE BLACK. SLATS WILL BE INSTALLED ON THE FENCING THAT IS STREET FACING ONLY. 1.2.7. Contractor shall verify in the field all linear footages. 1.2.8. The design is to remove existing chain link fencing, entry gates, driveway gates like for like. 1.2.9. Demolition of all existing fencing, posts, accessories, attachments, footings, etc. to install the new fencing scope of work is included in this project. Concrete footings will be removed and off hauled. All demolished fencing will be disposed of offsite. All spoils will be exported. 1.2.10. Provide and install six (6) foot high Ameristar Montage II Genesis 2 Rail Ornamental Iron Fencing as shown on the site plan and per the attached details. 1.2.11. Provide and install twelve (12) inch wide by +/- six (6) inch deep mow curb for all new fencing. The mow curb thickness will vary due to the existing site elevations. Contractor will verify the depth of the mow curb so as to provide a level and uniform mow curb for the entire length of the new the fencing. Mow curb shall be 2500 psi. 1.2.12. Contractor shall survey and salvage all existing signs on the existing fencing that is being demolished and reinstall the existing signs on the new fencing at the same locations. 1.2.13. Contractor shall export off site all spoils generated from the fencing installation. 1.2.14. Contractor shall reestablish, repair all irrigation, and patch all landscaping affected by the fencing installation and turn over in as-found condition. 1.2.15. Contractor shall review the utility as-builts and irrigation as-builts prior to construction to minimize any breakage. 1.2.16. All work shall be installed per the GGUSD District Standards and the GGUSD General Conditions Demolition of existing fencing and installation of new wrought iron and vinyl coated chain-link fencing and gates with concrete mow curbs.
