Site work and renovation of a civil project in Plainville, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The major work consists of replacement of the existing pumps and motors with submersible style pumps, mixers, instrumentation, equipment, piping, valves within a new precast wet well and valve vault. It also includes replacement of the existing control and generator building with a new pre-engineered and fabricated electrical building and all new electrical, pump controls, instrumentation, generator, and new VFDs. There are modifications to the existing wet well and targeted demolition of existing components and site work. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals are applicable to the total dollars paid to the construction contract. The goals imposed by the Connecticut DEEP for this project are a minimum of 3.00 percent for Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation and 5.00 percent for Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) participation by certified DBEs. The bidder shall submit the required DEEP acknowledgement form, which is provided in the Bid documents, with their bid. Failure to comply with the requirements of this paragraph may be deemed to render a proposal nonresponsive. The time period for holding Bids is 120 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after opening of Bids.
