Indiana State University reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid and to waive any irregularities in Bidding. A. The following, but not limited to, is included in the Base Bid 1. Demolition of existing roof. 2. Repairs to existing roof deck. Since the quantity of repairs is unknown the repairs will be done T&M and charged to the $20,000 Allowance included in the Base Bid, 3. Installation of new Architectural Asphalt Shingle Roof. 4. WARNING: There is an irreplaceable stained glass dome in the attic below the roof. If there is any deck repairs are needed above this dome the Contractor shall exercise extreme caution when working over the dome to not allow anything to fall and damage the dome. B. Procedures 1. Coordination: Modify or adjust affected adjacent work as necessary to completely integrate work of the Base Bid into the Project. 2. Include as part of the Base Bid miscellaneous devices, accessory objects, and similar items incidental to or required for a complete installation whether or not indicated as part of the Base Bid. As a mandatory requirement the Proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check; cashier's check or a Bid Bond (AIA A310) for an amount not less than 5% of the total bid price for Base Bid(s) and all add Alternates. See Section 00 10 10 Instructions to Bidders 3.01 for Bid Bond Requirements Bidder(s) receiving awards shall be required to provide acceptable surety in the form of a Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bond for the full amount of the award. Include the cost of all bonds and insurance in the Bid amount.
