Renovation of an educational facility in Chinquapin, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Per Addendum 3- Bid Date Extended Complete plans, specifications and contract documents are available on the Hite Associates website, and will be open for inspection in the office of the Architect, Hite Associates, 2600 Meridian Drive, Greenville, North Carolina, 27834. In accordance with federal regulations, the contractor must provide certification that it will not and has not used federal appropriated funds to pay any person or organization for influencing or attempting to influence an officer or employee of any agency, a member of Congress, an officer or employee of Congress, or an employee of a member of Congress in connection with obtaining any federal contract, grant or any other award covered by this amendment. Each must also disclose any lobbying with non-federal funds that takes place in connection with obtaining any federal award. All Contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the State laws governing their respective trades. General Contractors are notified that Chapter 87, Article l, General Statutes of North Carolina, will be observed in receiving bids and awarding the General Contract. General Contractors submitting bids on this project must have proper license classification. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, of an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, or in lieu thereof, a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds, conditioned that the surety will, upon demand forthwith make payment to the obligee upon said bond if the bidder fails to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. Said deposit shall be retained by the Owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law. In determining the value of the bid bond, additive or deductive alternates shall be considered as they are accepted by the Owner. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Payment will be made on the basis of ninety-five percent (95%) of monthly estimates and final payment made upon completion and acceptance of work. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids, and shall remain valid and good for 60 days.
