Replacement of Boilers and Water heaters and associates systems in 17 existing buildings at Sullivan Apartments and Community Building, all located at 160 Nursery Street, Springfield, MA. Sub Bid Category PLUMBING (22.00.00); ELECTRICAL (26.00.00) Bids must be submitted electronically at www.Projectdog.com, no later than the dates and times specified below. Contact Projectdog, Inc. at 978-499-9014 for assistance (M-F, 8:30AM-5PM). General Scope of work: Unless specified elsewhere, the Contractor shall be responsible for: 1 All cutting, fitting and patching necessary to complete the Work. 2 Repair of damaged surfaces, finishes, and cleaning. 3 Coordination of any cutting and patching required by subtrades. Comply with all safety laws and regulations of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the United States Government, and local government agencies applicable to Work under this contract. The Contractor attention is directed to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Labor, Division of Occupational Safety Regulations. Patch, repair or replace any new construction which may be damaged or destroyed by this project operations. Cut, fit and patch as required to make all parts of the Work come properly together and fit it to receive or be received by Work of all Subcontractors. Patch or replace any existing conditions (on or off the site) for which no changes are indicated but which may be damaged or destroyed by this Project operations. Restore to original conditions and/or match existing surrounding conditions. Contracts to be let where it becomes necessary to let contracts for in excess of $2,000 to fulfill your contractual obligations under these regulations, you must make a good faith effort to utilize business concerns owned and operated by residents of the municipality of Springfield. A good faith effort regarding selection of vendors shall also apply for items less than $2000. Therefore, you should, to the maximum extent feasible, utilize Section 3 business concerns for all purchases of materials and services necessary to fulfill your contractual obligations. The goal is 10% of the total $ contract award maybe a combined total of 10%.
