Renovation of a municipal facility in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Bids received after that time will be considered informal and rejected. The project consists of replacing the roof of the Office building located at 438 Granby Road. Work will include stripping the existing Roof Material, Flashing and felt paper. The replacement roof will consist of a shingle roofing system with new ice and water barrier to comply with current building codes. Every bid shall be accompanied by a Proposal Guaranty in the form of a Bid Bond, or a certified check, or a cashiers' check drawn on a State Massachusetts Bank and Trust Company, or a National Association, or by a bid bond having a surety thereto such surety company or companies having an office in the State of Massachusetts, made payable to the Fire District No. 1, South Hadley, Massachusetts. The amount of the Proposal Guaranty to be submitted in the bid shall be five percent (5%) of the bid. The work under this Contract shall be subject to the provisions of Chapter 30, Section 39M of the Massachusetts General Laws.
