Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Charlotte, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Question Deadline 11/20/2023 at 3:00 PM ET The project proposes to add sidewalks and bike lanes by widening parts of J.W. Clay Boulevard. Sidewalks are currently in place in some stretches of this street; however, they will be upgraded to wider 8-foot sidewalks. The roadway and median width will be adjusted to allow for the addition of bike lanes. The conceptual cross-section includes four travel lanes with four left-turn lanes at intersections, a 12-foot cycle track, a 10-foot multiuse path, curb & gutter, 8-foot sidewalk & planting strip and street trees. A 5% bid security is required with each bid that equals or exceeds $300,000. The estimated cost range of this Project is $5M -10M. MBE = 6% WBE = 3% The City of Charlotte reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or technicalities as it may deem to be in its best interest.
