Saving Project...

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Charlottesville, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 5,291-square-foot, one-story above grade medical facility.

The Work consists of the following, but is not limited to: Renovation of approximately 4,500sf of Level 01 of the University Hospital to expand the MRI department to include (1) new MRI, shell space for (1) future MRI, and associated support space. Purge and quench utilities for these MRI's will be routed vertically through an existing shaft to Level 02MA, and then to the North exterior wall, where the quench will discharge, and the purge exhaust ducts will penetrate to the rooftop location of (1) new and (1) future exhaust fan. . A portion of the exterior wall will be removed (new knockout) to rig the new MRI into the Level 01 space, but also will serve as means for debris removal, material loading, etc. Scaffolding will be erected at this area accordingly.
