The project Scope of Work consists of the removal and disposal of approximately 1,320 sq. ft. of damaged existing standing seam metal roofing, 1,320 sq. ft. of damaged existing vinyl faced metal building roof insulation, 134-0 of damaged existing prefinished metal fascia and gutters, and twenty-eight (28) broken 1/4 exterior glazing panels approximately 9 sq. ft. each. The intent of these Contract Documents is to remove enough of the existing damaged standing seam metal roof panels, to access and remove the damaged roof insulation below, to the nearest taped or sealed seam. The Contractor is not allowed to cut the existing insulation before an edge seam of the insulation roll. Once the demolition is complete, the Contractor is responsible for the installation of new vinyl faced roof insulation, new pre-finished standing seam metal roof panels, new pre-finished metal fascia and flashings, new pre-finished metal gutters, and the installation of new tempered glass window inserts, where the damaged windows exist. Subsequent to the Opening, the Bid/bids Will Be Evaluated by the Appropriate Party/parties and Will Be Presented to the School Board President for Awarding, Rejecting, or Holding for Further Advisement and/or Evaluation. Pursuant to R.s. 38:2212 (E), the Terrebonne Parish School Board Has Partnered With Central Bidding to Distribute Bid Solicitations, Collect Responses, and/or Allow Contractors and Vendors the Ability to Respond Through a Uniform and Secure Electronic Interactive Bidding System. The Lowest Qualified Bid Will Be the One Determined to Offer the Best Advantage to the Terrebonne Parish School Board. The Terrebonne Parish School Board, to the Extent Permitted by State and Federal Laws and Regulations, Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids/proposals for Just Cause. Proposal Prices Shall Specifically Exclude Any and All Taxes Whatsoever. Act 1029 of 1991 Exempts Local Governments From State and Local Tax Effective September 1, 1991.
