Renovation of a water / sewer project in Honolulu, Hawaii. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Rehabilitate the existing primary sedimentation tanks, secondary clarifier tanks, trickling filter/solids contact (TFSC) system, and other existing facilities, at the Kailua Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), including the associated mechanical, electrical and other appurtenances. Project includes tank and system condition assessment, and rehabilitation and improvements including lining and/or exterior coating, replacement of internal metal structures, electrical and mechanical equipment, pumps, motors, controls, launders, covers, filter media, piping, and valves. Project includes demolishing old unused facilities. Fiscal year 2023 -2028 *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
