The County of Sacramento ("County"), Department of Transportation is soliciting a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for multiple consultants or consultant teams" to work on an on-call basis to provide transportation design services. Up to six contracts for these services are anticipated to be awarded. Each contract will not exceed $2,000,000 and will have a base term of up to three years, with the possibility of two two-year extensions. The scope of work will be mutually defined, on a case-by-case basis, by the County and the selected consultants with written authorization from the County via a notice to proceed for each individual task order. The County anticipates multiple funding sources may be used for work performed under these contracts. When federal funds are utilized, the County's established Disadvantaged Business Enterprise goal is 16% or as specified in the project's individual task order. The scope of work will be mutually defined by the County and the selected consultants or consultant teams. A sample list of potential future projects and their description, for which services may be requested, can be found in the County's Five Year Capital Improvement Plan. Specific services anticipated are as follows: Transportation Design Services - The Consultant may be asked to provide design on a wide range of transportation projects including, but not limited to, sidewalk infill, curbs, gutters, curb ramps, street lights, new roadways, road widenings, freeway interchanges, roadway vertical profiling and elevation of existing roads, overlay existing roadways, slurry seal, traffic signals, bus stops, streetscape, drainage facility improvements, roadside culvert armoring, landscaping, soundwalls, retaining walls, culvert/bridge replacements, bicycle facilities and trails, other active transportation facilities (e-scooters micromobility, emerging technologies), and pop-up/demonstration projects.
