The project generally includes the construction of a new 0.75-million-gallon elevated storage tank and associated appurtenances, as well as site paving, grading, landscaping, and pipeline improvements. It also includes the addition of a new generator at the Town's Public Works Service Center across the street from the tank site. All unit prices must be stated in both words and numerals. Only electronic bids will be accepted. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or formalities. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the price of the bids, the OWNER reserves the right to consider the most advantageous bid thereof, or to reject the bid. Unreasonable or unbalanced unit prices will be considered sufficient cause of rejection of any bid or bids. The deadline to ask questions is 11/07/2023 2:00 PM CST The successful Bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds each in the amount of 100percent (100%) of the Contract price from an approved Surety Company holding a permit from the State of Texas, to act as Surety. Bidders must submit with their bids a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum amount bid, payable without recourse to the OWNER from an approved Surety Company as guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute bond and guarantee forms provided within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract is issued to him or her. A cashier's check will not be accepted.
