Site work for a water / sewer project in North Tarrytown, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project provides for the replacement of the section of the Tarrytown force main that was not replaced in the previous project under Capital Project SY020. The scope of work involves replacement and/or rehabilitation of approximately 10,500 linear feet of 30" diameter force main and 1,300 linear feet of 30" gravity sewer. The Tarrytown force main carries sewage under pressure approximately 2.75 miles from the Tarrytown Pumping Station in the Village of Tarrytown to a 1/4 mile section of gravity sewer that connects to the Saw Mill Trunk Sewer in the Village of Elmsford. As of November 14, 2024, this project is included in the Westchester County's FY 2025-2029 CIP. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. A firm construction timeline has not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
