Disclaimer: IN ORDER FOR YOUR BID TO BE CONSIDERED A LEGAL BONAFIDE BIDDER ON THE PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM REMINGTON, VERNICK ENGINEERS DIRECTLY Plansoen Park Improvements Phase 1 Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond Duly Executed by the Bidder as Principal and Having As Surety Thereon a Surety Company Approved by the Township of Belleville in an Amount Not Less Than Ten Percent (10%) but in No Case in Excess of $20,000.00 of the Amount Bid. Any Such Bid Bond Shall Be Without Endorsement or Conditions. Bids Shall Also Be Accompanied by a Certificate Letter From a Surety Company Stating That It Will Provide the Bidder With the Completion Bond. The Award of the Contract Shall Be Made Subject to the Necessary Moneys to Do the Work Being Provided by the Township of Belleville in a Lawful Manner. The Contract to Be Executed By the Successful Bidder Will Provide That It Shall Not Become Effective Until the Necessary Moneys To Do the Work Have Been Provided by the Township of Belleville in a Lawful Manner. The Award Shall Further Be Subjected to the Securing of Necessary State, Federal or Local Permits Governing the Work. Bidders Are Required to Comply With the Requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 Et Seq., N.J.S.A. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 Et Seq.(New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act), and Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. S12101, Et Seq.). The Contractor is Further Notified That He Must Comply With N.J.S.A 52:25-24.2 and Submit a Disclosure Statement Listing Stockholders With His Bid. The Contractor is Further Notified That He Must Comply With N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 Et Seq. Public Works Contractor Registration Act and He And Any Subcontractors Must Be Registered in Accordance With the Act. The Contractor is Also Further Notified That He Must Comply With N.J.S.A 52:32-44 and Submit Proof of Business Registration and Submit Proof of Business Registration for Any Named Subcontractors in Accordance With the Act. The Township of Belleville Reserves the Right to Consider the Bids for Sixty (60) Days After the Receipt Thereof, and Further Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids, Either in Whole or in Part And Also to Waive Any Informality in Any and Make Such Awards or Take Action as May Be in the Best Interest of the Township of Belleville, in Accordance With Applicable Law. Question Deadline 11/04/2023 Every request for such interpretation should be made in writing, addressed to the Engineer This project consists ofimprovements to Plansoen Park in the Township of Belleville, NJ. Work as part ofthis contract generally consists ofthe following Demolition of existing park features including but not limited to removal ofthe following: Existing chain link fence within the Phase 1 area Existing backstop, dugouts and storage buildings Existing playground equipment and mulch Any other feature shown on plans or needed to facilitate new construction. In a future contract ( Phase 2) there will be the conversion of existing natural grass softball field into a synthetic turfto multi-use soccer and softball field. Phase 2 work will consist ofremoval of infield mix, installation of new synthetic turfwith underdrain system and installation of new chain link fencing and gates around field. Only part of Phase 2 has interface with this contract (Phase 1); the western part offield curbing and interconnected softball backstop and other chain-link fence will be constructed as shown on the plans and details. Athletic sports lighting for the softball field (future multi-use field) is also to be constructed with Phase 1. Furnish and install the following: New play equipment - One 5-12 Play Area (Various Equipment) - New Play surface with underdrain system - Foundations for play equipment posts - Concrete Border for the play area as shown on the plans Renovate and reline existing parking lot and adds concrete bumpers Renovate existing basketball courts with new hoop systems, paving, striping. Furnish and install pickleball courts with perimeter fencing All related incidental work, including traffic control, dust control, soil erosion control, clearing, cleaning and restoration New MUSCO (Basis of Design) sports lighting for the new softball/soccer field, pickleball, and futsal field as shown on the contract drawings. Electrical: o Provide new electrical lighting, electrical enclosures, lighting control panels, panelboards, conduit, duct banks, wiring, disconnects, etc. as shown on the plans and as required to support the installation of new Park lighting and Sports lighting system a shown on the contract drawings. All new electrical work is to be in compliance with the Division 26 Specifications, NFPA70, local and state codes and the Authority Having Jurisdiction. o Provide all electrical site excavation (trenching and backfilling) for all electrical duct banks, cabinet and pole foundations etc. as required for a turnkey installation of all electrical below and above grade site work. Coordinate all required site work with other trades and contractors for a seamless project. o Provide all video surveillance backbone raceways, CAT6 and Fiber Optic cabling, enclosures and CCTV video camera pole brackets and installation hardware as shown on the contract drawings. The installation ofthe video surveillance infra-structure is by the Contractor. The provision for the cameras, camera installations, programming and networking interfacing is provided under a separate contract. All surveillance cabling and equipment installations shall be fully coordinated with camera provider. o Provide all concrete work required for the new electrical enclosure pads and pole light foundations.
