UTA seeks to engage a Contractor to provide a broad variety of transit design, construction, maintenance, and repair services on an as- needed basis. UTA wants to engage a contractor to perform Transit Infrastructure design, construction, maintenance, and repair work on UTAs transit system beyond UTA personnels ability to perform. The work will be on an on-call basis during the term of the contract, but the volume of work is large enough to require two full-time contractor personnel (an Infrastructure Project Manager, and Infrastructure Superintendent) to manage the work. It is anticipated that the project manager and superintendent will be required to maintain an on-site presence and will share office space with UTAs staff at a UTA office building. Contractor will also be required to have the ability to contract with qualified design firm to supply UTA with Design needs as requested. A Bid Bond (or equivalent guaranty in the form of a letter of credit, certified check or other negotiable instrument deemed to be equivalent by the Authority) equal to five percent of the proposed Contract price securing performance in accordance with the Bid or Proposal provided with submission of bid or proposal. A Performance Bond equal to 100% of the Contract price provided prior to formal contract execution. A Payment Bond equal to 100% of the Contract price provided prior to formal contract. DBE goals will be determined on a per Task Order basis when federal funds are utilized. The goals list below are reflective of the goals that will be issued for individual task orders based on the type of work performed. These goals are provided to aid Proposers in their work planning and cost calculations used in assembling their Proposals. If there is an inconsistency in the goals listed below and the goals issued in an individual task order, the latter will take precedence. SGR401 Ballast & Ties DBE Goal is Race Neutral. SGR393 Grade Crossing DBE Goal is 2%. SGR385 Rail Replacement DBE Goal is 3%. This will be a Task Order Contract. These rates and prices will be used to negotiate a Lump Sum Price or Time and Material Cost for each Task.
