Scope will be as needed for Districtwide Flooring for approximately one year. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form provided by the District and included in the bid documents. Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to this Notice Inviting Bids, the Instructions for Bidders, and other Contract Documents. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. Except as provided in Public Contract Code Section 5100 et seq., no bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar after the of the bids. DVBE: not applicable DIR REGISTRATION AND LABOR COMPLIANCE MONITORING: Except as provided in Labor Code Section 1771.1(a), no Contractor or Subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project submitted on or after March 1, 2015, or perform work on a public works contract awarded on or after April 1, 2015, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to California Labor Code Section 1725.5. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Contractor and any Subcontractors engaging in work on the Project are required to review and comply with the provisions of the California Labor Code, Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1, beginning with Section 1720, and the regulations of the Department of Industrial Relations implementing those provisions. These statutory and regulatory provisions contain specific requirements concerning, for example, the determination and payment of prevailing wages, retention, and auditing of payroll records, use of apprentices, payment of overtime compensation, and various penalties or fines which may be imposed for violations of the requirements of the chapter. of a proposal constitutes the bidders representation that it has thoroughly reviewed these statutory and regulatory requirements and agrees to bind every Subcontractor performing work on the Project to these requirements to the extent such requirements are applicable to the Subcontractors work. Each bid must be submitted with security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract, if awarded to the bidder, and will provide the and payment bonds, insurance certificates and other documents described in the Contract Documents. Such security must be in one of the following forms: (1) a cashiers check made payable to the District; (2) a certified check made payable to the District; or (3) a bond made payable to the District in the form forth in the Contract Documents. Any must have been issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120 The class(es) of California contractors license(s) required in order to on and perform the contract for this Project is: C-15 MANDATORY PRE- CONFERENCE AND SITE VISIT: NONE The District has made a finding that certain brand or trade names are necessary in order to maintain conformity among its campuses, compatibility with existing systems, and to streamline and parts storage. A copy of the resolution is incorporated in the documents under Specifications. The successful bidder will be required to provide both a and a separate payment , each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount. The forms of the bonds are forth in the Contract Documents and all bonds must be issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120. The Project is a public work and the successful bidder and each of its subcontractors of any tier will be required to pay not less than the general prevailing rates of per-diem wages in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract (Prevailing Wages). A copy of the per-diem rates of Prevailing Wages applicable to the Project is on file and for review at the location specified above as the for submitting bids, and a copy will be posted at the site of the Project. Bidder shall include the name, location of the of business, and the California contractor license number of each subcontractor who will perform work or assist the bidder in completing the Project, pursuant to the Subletting and Subcontracting Practices Act. An inadvertent error in listing the contractor license number shall not be grounds for filing a protest or grounds for considering a nonresponsive, assuming the corrected contractors license number is submitted by the bidder within twenty-four (24) hours after the bid and the corrected contractors license number corresponds to the submitted name and location for that subcontractor.
