The project shall consist of all residential solid-waste collection, recyclable material collection and processing, residential dumpster service, and City-wide annual leaf collection. Proposer will provide the City weekly curbside automated collection of residential solid waste, as well as biweekly curbside collection of recyclable materials, currently including empty plastic bottles, tubs and jugs, empty food and beverage cans, cardboard and paperboard, and clean paper. As an alternate to biweekly recycling, the City will review pricing for weekly recycling collection. Proposer will provide 30-yard residential dumpsters in at least 72-hour increments to all residents of the City upon request. Proposer will also provide a once-annual curbside residential leaf pick-up service to all City residents receiving waste collection and recycling services. Several areas in Sandy City are serviced by Wasatch Front Waste & Recycling District (Wasatch Front Waste) and will not be serviced with solid waste collection and recycling under this proposal, but these areas may be added in the future. Proposer will provide yearly leaf collection to all residents of Sandy City including those areas serviced by Wasatch Front Waste. The City will provide a map showing those residential units excepted from the proposal.
