Request for Cost Proposal for project 561-23-400 Replace Bldgs. 15-18 AC Pumps Contractor shall completely prepare site for the chilled water and condenser water pumps replacement, glycol feed unit, cooling tower recovery unit including demolition and removal of existing systems, equipments and related fixtures, and furnish labor and materials to perform work for VA Project 561-23-400 Replace Bldg. 15-18 AC Pumps as required by drawings and specifications. Period of Performance: 135 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP).
Magnitude of Construction is between $100,000 and $250,000 Existing HVAC system in its present condition is deficient and inadequate for proper function, and do not meet requirements for cooling campus outer Buildings 15 thru 18. The system chilled water and condenser water pumps are currently nonoperational and controls are outdated, and are not compatible with the Delta Connects BMS system which creates issues with proper cooling of the entire area. The facility currently has a rental chiller in place while the existing chiller is being repaired under the service contract. the following equipment and systems shall be removed and replaced:
- Rmove chilled water pumps and VFD's and replaced with new chilled water pumps and VFD's with pypass.
- Remove condencer water pumps and replace with new condencer water pumps with VFD's with bypass.
- Remove glycol feeder system and replace with new system.
- Remove cooling tower packaged recovery and separator system with new system.
- Tie-in all new pumps and systems with the existing BMS. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
