**As of December 12, 2023 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on December 20, 2023.** The work consists of removal and replacement of the mechanisms and accessories within two existing clarifiers at the Town's Water Reclamation Facility (WRF). All existing equipment within the clarifier will be removed with the exception of a wall baffle. Installation of new clarifier equipment includes feed well and floor baffle, center column, spiral scrapers and scrape arms, scum beach, above water bridge/catwalk, and electrical control elements, and such other items of work necessary to complete the work. Below water features are specified to be all stainless steel. New fiberglass installations include perimeter weirs, scum baffles, and effluent launder covers. The center portion of the concrete floor will be removed and replaced with a new concrete center column support and return activated sludge (RAS) sump which will include RAS pipe modification. The first clarifier must be completed in 2024 and the second in 2025. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check payable to the Town of Windsor or a satisfactory bidder's bond in favor of the Town of Windsor executed by the bidder as principal, and a satisfactory surety company, licensed as such in the State of California, as surety, in an amount not less than 10% of the maximum amount of the bid. The check or bidder's bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder shall execute the contract, if awarded to him, in conformity with the contract documents and shall provide the statutory faithful performance bond, and labor and materials (payment) bond for 100% of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of said contract, said bonds to be provided within ten (10) days, not including Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, after notification of the award of the contract to the bidder. The bid opening will be performed at Town Hall and is open to the public. Town Staff will direct bidders and attendees to maintain an adequate social distance per County and State mandates regarding COVID-19. Any addendums will be posted to this webpage and emails will be sent to contacts on the Plan Holder's List. The bid tabulation will be posted to this webpage within 24 hours of the bid opening. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 60 (sixty) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Questions may be referred to the Engineering Department at (707) 838-5340.
