Beaux Vue PH. 2 Drainage Improvements. Question Deadline 11/20/2023 All questions pertaining to the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the Engineer. Any questions received less than ten (10) days prior to the date set for the opening of bids will not be answered. The Contract Works consists drainage improvements for the Beaux Vue Ph.2 Subdivision and appurtenances as shown on the Plans. The project work shall include construction of all facilities and furnishing of all equipment required to complete, test, and make ready for use by the Owner, all structures, equipment, and systems, and establishment of vegetation, as specified in the Contract Documents. Copies of the contract documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are on file and may be examined without charge at the following locations. The project will be subject to liquidated damages in the amount of THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300.00) per consecutive calendar day for each day in default after the stipulated completion date. No oral, telegraphic, telephonic, or e-mail proposals will be considered. Each bidder shall write his Name, his Address, and his Certificate of Responsibility number/or a statement that the bid enclosed does not exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) on the outside of the sealed envelope containing his proposal. The City of Diamondhead, Mississippi, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality (non-responsiveness) in a Bid, or to make award to the lowest and best qualified, responsive, and responsible Bidder and reject all other Bids, as it may best serve the interest of the OWNER. Bids may be held by the City of Diamondhead, Mississippi, for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the contract. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of his Base Bid, payable to the City of Diamondhead, Mississippi, as bid security. In the event that an electronic bid is submitted, a copy of the bid bond must be included with the submission. If submitting electronically, a hard copy of all bid documents must be provided within 3 business days if requested after the bid opening. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the bid. The maximum allowable number of consecutive calendar days for the completion of Work (the Contract Time) is set forth in the Bid Proposal and will be included in the executed Agreement.
