Reference Number 0000258522 Question Acceptance Deadline 2023/11/02 11:59:00 PM EDT The City of Ottawa anticipates the need for various professional land surveying services in two categories which can be generally described as: The Work to Be Done Under This Category Consists Generally of a Controlled Three Dimensional Topographic Survey Integrated With the Teranet Property Mapping That Will Be Provided by the City. As Part of the Survey, a Full Inventory is Required of All Survey Monuments (Visible or Not) Within the Mapping Extents, Capturing Their Location. These Monuments Must Be Surveyed to Ensure That the Reliability of the Teranet Property Mapping is Within 0.15m and to Allow the City to Request That the Constructor Replace All Monuments That Were Destroyed During Construction. If a Monument Cannot Be Accessed, an Explanation Must Accompany the Submission. The Work Will Be Completed in Accordance With the Horizontal and Vertical Accuracy’s as Stated Within These Specifications. Should the Teranet Line Work Fall Outside the 0.15m Limit, Notification Must Be Given Upon Initial Submission of the Mapping. Given That the Project Requires an Analysis of the Location of Legal Survey Monumentation Only Respondents Holding a Valid Certificate of Authorization, Authorized by the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors, Will Be Considered. The Limits of Each Individual Project Will Be Described From Intersection to Intersection Along the Length of the Roadway From the Centre Line of the Road Out to Either: a) Where Buildings Line the Street, to the Building Face With Additional Data to Show the Orientation of the Sides of the Building, Plus Elevation Data (Hypsographic Break Lines) Beside the Building, Along Driveway or Paths to Determine the Slope for Overland Flow Analysis, or B) Where There Are No Buildings, Mapping (Including Hypsographic Break Lines) Shall Extend 5 Metres Beyond the Property Limit. Projects Which Run Along a Road From Intersection to Intersection Will Be Completed as Set Out Above. In Addition, Mapping Will Be Required Along Each Intersecting Street for a Distance of 30 Metres From the Existing Property Limit of the Street. The Elevation of a Basement Window Sill Shall Be Captured on Each Home. If There is No Basement Window, Then a Door Sill Elevation Shall Be Captured. Nverts May Be Required on a Project by Project Basis. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
