MILLRIDGE ROAD FIELD NO. 2 IMPROVEMENTS TOWN OF SECAUCUS HUDSON COUNTY, NEW JERSEY The work to be performed under this contract includes the renovation of Field No. 2 at the Millridge Road recreation complex. Improvements include replacing the natural grass and clay field with over 70,000 square feet of multi-use synthetic turf facilities. Principal items of work in the project include: 2,400 C.Y. Clean Fill Soil Aggregate 1,100 S.F. Retaining Wall, Location No. 1 1,100 L.F. Concrete Turf Footing 5,200 C.Y. 3/4" Clean Stone 600 L.F. Chain-Link Fence, PVC-Coated Steel, 8' High 600 L.F. Chain-Link Fence, PVC-Coated Steel, 10' High 400 L.F. Protective Netting, 20' High L.S. Dugouts and Team Benches L.S. Sports Field Lighting L.S. Below Grade Electrical Improvements Note: The supply and installation of the synthetic turf system (turf carpet and all infill materials) shall be procured directly by the Owner through others and is NOT included in the Contract. Construction of the stone sub-base and perimeter curb footing for the turf fields is included in the project. Other improvements to this facility include the import of clean fill, significant drainage improvements, construction of new paved sidewalks, fence construction, retaining wall construction, new sports field lighting, below grade electrical improvements and the installation of various sports amenities. Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and, not to exceed $20,000.00. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Owner and will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Owner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract. All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days. The Town reserves the right to waive any technical non-conformance or minor irregularities in, as well as, the option to reject any or all bids for any reason set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2 et seq. and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder. In default thereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the aforesaid Owner as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in the case of corporations not chartered in New Jersey, by proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey.
