Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Williamsburg, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
JCSA Driving & Walking Asphalt Repairs. Scope of work. Asphalt driving surfaces, unless specified otherwise in AREAS TO BE ADDRESSED following this section, shall meet the following criteria. All asphalt repairs shall be square or rectangular in shape. No trapezoids or curved sides. Sufficient asphalt, crusher run, and/or subsurface road material shall be removed to accommodate 4-inches of SM 9.5A asphalt concrete. Before installing the new SM 9.5A asphalt concrete, the road bedding shall be mechanically compacted with a vibrating compactor. The asphalt concrete shall be compacted and rolled to restore the normal driving surface profile in conjunction with the VDOT Bituminous Pavement Patch Standard for Secondary Roads. Inquiries: Silke Hudgins, Procurement Specialist When requested, the County shall require the successful bidder/offeror to furnish a performance bond and labor and material payment bond with surety satisfactory to the County Attorney in the amount of the contract price at a time of or prior to execution of the contract. The Purchasing Director reserves the right to award a contract by individual items, in the aggregate, or in combination thereof, or to reject any or all bids/proposals and to waive any informality in bids/proposals received whenever such rejection or waiver is in the best interest of the County.
