Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Smyrna, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the construction of a 81,000-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
**As of February 26, 2024 project was awarded but awarded amount is not available.** The Town of Smyrna's Finance Department is dedicated to the principles of competition and fairness, as well as ensuring that Town of Smyrna taxpayers receive the best value for every expenditure. Determining factors for a bid include: price, service, past history, delivery time and any other factors that may be relevant to the circumstances. The final determining factor in award of a bid will be what is in the best interest for the Town of Smyrna. The Town of Smyrna desires quotations for the construction of a 90' wide x 50' deep by 18' tall metal building with 6 - 12' wide x 16' tall roll up doors and two-man doors on a concrete slab. Metal Building based on the criteria below or equivalent: This project is to install a 90' wide by 50' deep by 18' tall metal building with 5 - 12' wide by 16' tall roll up doors and 2 - 36" wide man doors. Wind Load of 145 MPH and 50 PSF certified. Roof Pitch 3 / 12. Enclosed on all sides. 6 - 12' x 16' header seal, chain hoist, roll up garage doors centered on front wall. 2 - 36" x 80" man doors. One on right side and one on rear side. 1' overhang on sides and ends. 26 Gauge panels 12 Gauge roof All labor to construct building on concrete slab. Prodex Insulation R-16 (or equivalent) in roof and on all sides. 3' Tall wainscoting. Colored screws to match final color selection. Final building colors to be determined. Alternate Bid 1 Concrete Slab minimum requirements: Prepare ground surface for a 90' by 50' concrete slab with foundation per detail below. Install 6" thick compacted aggregate base (303-01) Minimum 97% standard proctor density mineral aggregate, Grading D. Install 6" thick 3000 PSI concrete at 28 days with rebar and wire mesh as shown in detail below. Alternative Bid 2 Concrete Apron minimum requirements: Removal of 1,300 SF of existing asphalt, base stone, and soil up to 2-feet below ground surface. Removal of 850 SF of soil up to 2 feet below ground surface. Backfill with 1-foot deep and 2,150 SF surge stone and 6-inches deep compacted aggregate base (97% minimum standard proctor density) Install 2,150 SF of 6-inch thick concrete 4,000 psi at 28 day.
