State Contractor's Class C-10 License is required. It is recommended that attendees of the meeting do not drive low clearance street vehicles or hybrid vehicles as the access roads are rutted, sandy, and rocky as most of the sites are located at the top of hills or mountains. Bidder will caravan in their own vehicles and follow the project manager to the project site. Attendees are REQUIRE drive a 4x4 vehicle in order to access these sites. Bids submitted by firms that have not participated in the Pre-bid meeting will be disqualified. In addition, for reasons relating to the security and protection of project site locations, the full, unredacted Bid Document Package for the ISD Radio Site Security Upgrade Project has been designated as confidential. A redacted version of the Bid Document Package has been released to the public. The County will provide an unredacted confidential version of the Bid Package to the attendees of the Mandatory Pre-Bid Walk, in order to facilitate participation in the bid process, provided the contractors and sub-contractors, if any, execute this Confidentiality Agreement. Concurrently with the submittal of its bid, bidders are required to furnish bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the BASE BID. If this Bid is successful, the undersigned agrees to execute the required Standard Contract and will furnish a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a Faithful Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. These bonds shall be secured from a surety company or companies satisfactory to the County within ten (10) calendar days of the contract award and shall be on County approved bond forms. Bonds shall remain in full force and effect for a period of one year following the date of filing of Notice of Completion. Copies of the prevailing wage rates are on file at the Project and Facilities Management Department and shall be made available to any interested party on request.
